The Neutral State

  One of the first ships sent by the Senka 40 years ago was manned by a group of scientists, soldier, technicians, and mechanics and landed at the base of a mountain in the day/night zone in an area useful for the water and nutrients shed from the mountain into the valley.  After finding out that FTL technology no longer worked they changed focus from just staking a claim to building some place they can live.  Over the past 35 years they have dug out a portion of the mountain and merged their ship with it.  Using their Mechs they have dug large mines and built stone structures outside the mountain.  As well the soil in the valley as proved good enough for farming.  Using wind power from the valley they have managed to make Mech, munitions, and vehicle factories in some of the larger mine caves. 

   The basic population has increased do to births and people from other companies gathering since the ship first landed and everyone is expected to help cultivate the land or manage the factories at some point and children have been taught to be pilots from a young age.  Although originally from Senka, they no longer consider themselves part of any company and have declared themselves a neutral zone.  Allowed to exist as a central zone between the companies, a wide selection of mercenaries can usually be found at the pubs.  Some technology from other companies has also managed to find it's way here and overall managed to make this a trade city capable of selling extra food, water, and mech components.

   The main factories hidden inside the mountain are well protected and the outer town is protected by large stone walls and Mechs often using powerful weapons obtained from trades with the Lukron.  All visitors are required to leave their Mech outside the wall in a hangar while citizens are allowed to bring theirs through the main gate.  Any attack by a lone mercenary can be dealt with quickly and possibly before any major damage is done and their current ability makes it possible for them to defend against attacks by larger groups. 


Hopefully enough imagery for people to have a basic idea for what kind of settlement i believe the game needs.  A neutral area where technology normally not available to a individual can be purchased.  While it would be more of an rustic meets technology feel it would be around one of the closest things to civilization in the game. 

Ideas and recommendations are encouraged.  Comments and concerns as well.
