FOA WIP2 Downtime WEEKEND

Expect the FOA WIP2 to be down intermittently over the course of this weekend starting Saturday at 0001 EST to perform server maintenance updates and upgrades. Due to the nature of these upgrades the DATABASE will be getting an update and although I do not anticipate any issues, it is possible that characters may be wiped.. I will return FOA WIP2 to full service by 0001 EST Monday. I estimate that several restarts will occur with minimal downtime windows during this process.

Again downtime window is 0001 EST Saturday - 0001 EST Monday morning.


DEVS-I also continue to work on relocation of internal network equipment, increase of network bandwidth for FOA OFFLINE development server. I hope to have it also back online for testing purposes by 0001 EST Monday.


PS-I would get started earlier but I'm going to watch Caprica tonight (fri), cuz that show is HOT!!

Server Maintenance completed.

You should now be able to log back into the FOA WIP2 world with all of your characters in tact. No database issues noted during the upgrade, all went smooth. You can still delete your character and start fresh though if you prefer.

Maintenance of database completed.
Upgraded applications as needed.
Completed installation of security patches.

Muck About Quest-Commander Agsukagi will give you another quick quest following the Defense report quest. This quest will change in future but for now he's just a couple of mouse clicks for completion. Reward will change as well.

DEVS-Upgrade of network equipment and bandwidth completed. I am still working on the FOAOFFLINE server updates and upgrades, so it will remain unavailable until notified.
