I will be intermittently taking down FOAWIP2 and FOAOFFLINE starting TODAY (8/28) from 6pm - 12am Sunday (8/31) (Eastern Time - EST) to complete content updates and minor server maintenance updates on server files on both WIP2 and OFFLINE.

I expect update and maintenance windows to be short during reboot cycles (15-30 min intervals). Developer's may expect interrupted connections over the weekend during cycles.

Content:
New NPC model updates.
New patrol route testing.
Possible instance test, awaiting internal model.
Player Camera updates.

Server:
-Script file updates
-Script/Asset archival to backups
-Server log clean ups.

Game Play:
Testing

I will be intermittently taking down FOAWIP2 and FOAOFFLINE starting TODAY (9/2) from 8pm - 12am Friday (9/4) (Eastern Time - EST) to tidy up content/make final adjustments for DragonCon demo on both WIP2 and OFFLINE.

Expect updates to cause short reboot cycles (5-10 min intervals). Developer's may expect interrupted connections over the the next couple days during server cycles.

Content:
New NPC model updates -Changes as needed.
Patrol route fixes/testing.
Character model (updates pending model re-rig)

Server:
-Script file updates
-Script/Asset archival to backups
-Server log clean ups.

Game Play:
Testing Patrols
Video Capture

Just wanted to update everyone on the server status. FOAOFFLINE remains up but has not yet been updated to the latest build due to time constraints. I will try to update the Offline server (if I get a break from the Con activity) hopefully before Monday.

FOA WIP2 has been updated, but will remain inaccessible for at least the next half-hour to an hour while I perform asset repository reconciliation. We decided to add a few more, never before seen, things to the world while we were working remotely from Hamilton's hotel. Things are looking a lot better for the world and the player experience in general. The following updates completed:

Content:
Male/Female NPC model and shader updates - Completed for Commander, Male/Female Guards and Outpost One Guards.
Walking animation fixed - No longer gliding for male/female guards.
Patrol Routes for Male/Female guard fixed for main outpost.
Creation/Selection/Load screen updates.

Server:
Scripts updated.
Script archival complete.
Logs clean-up complete.

Gameplay:

New Load Screen has been implemented (You'll know you've entered into WIP2)

Character Creation Screen-UPDATED, you no longer stand in the Gazebo but appear inside the mech hangar. Genoman conquistador is 1st mech viewable in the creation screen, other factions are not yet implemented (don't worry they're coming).
-When creating a character for 1st time, the male marine model will be default, select a sex to change the model and proceed with character creation. After creation, as you select your characters the model will change.

Character Selection Screen- Updated, no more fantasy models, you are now able to play as a Space Marine or a Female Mech Pilot.

New Player Character Animations-Female has idle, walk, run, attack animations implemented (she has a wicked kick move). The Male Marine has idle/walk/run but still needs the other animations activated, sorry we ran out of time.

Outpost One Guards (Launch pad guards) - Now attack-able and give experience only, no loot or money yet, tables not updated with inventory. Number spawned mobs reduced for Outpost One Guard spawn.

Patrol routes for Main outpost male/female guards have been updated, route changed to go around backfang and check various areas of the main outpost. These guards are still set to non-attackable.

Note-Video capture for DragonCon demo has not yet been completed. We'll post what we can as soon as we can.



*- We still plan on opening up the WIP2 to live (Public Access) after DragonCon is completed. (We don't want to stress test/tax the server while there. We will announce when it is up and available for public use. Keep an eye on the announcements and/or this thread for details.
