A 'Frankenrobot' with a biological brain
Meet Gordon, probably the world's first robot controlled exclusively by living brain tissue.

Stitched together from cultured rat neurons, Gordon's primitive grey matter was designed at the University of Reading by scientists who unveiled the neuron-powered machine on Wednesday.

The article forgot to tell me when they are planning on making a blood sport out of it.  They are planning on it, aren't they?  What good will all the research do if it does not result in me watching robots with biological brains blow the crap out of each other?

Sweet! Only a matter of time before I achieve immortality and coolness with my very own robot body (with laser eyes) I've always wanted. Then I can plot world domination and the other supervillains won't make fun of me for being a regular guy anymore.

That was a really classless insult to hurl at American service personnel.  Apparently devs can't be smited.

I've canceled and boycott CNN due to a certain Iraq report that was done about a year ago.  I won't name it.

It' was not stated as an insult to any service personnel, in my opinion, you may be reading what I responded to Mobius, wrongly. It's an insult to the structure of a thing. I want them home, in my opinion we don't need to be there anymore, creating more body count for the news. Mission complete right? or so it was said. I've done my fair share in a lot of hell-hole places most have never heard or will ever know of and have the replacement parts to prove it, including the mid-east. In my opinion its time to let it be, and to that end, bring 'em home. I don't claim to be a politician, call me disgruntled or anything else you like but when it comes to the troops I have a strong opinion about it and am NOT politically correct. Sorry if you took it that way.

Hamilton has the power to smite me at will, I get overzealous about some things....it is only an opinion, but I should have stated as such.

You didn't insult the structure of anything.  In fact, you made no actual commentary on the war or region.  You equated U.S. service personnel, and the insurgents, to "robots" and all of the implications that would follow such a metaphor.

I don't think U.S. service personnel are "robots," sorry.  They're an example to be followed, not ridiculed.

I think I can understand a forty word sentence.  That aside, you knew exactly what you were saying and that it would be offensive.  Hence the header to your post.  It was simply in very poor taste on your part.

If you feel the need to continue this discussion please take it to PMs.
