I get this error when trying to connect to the multiverse FoA server.

Script Error
While running the scripts to initialize the world, the Multiverse world browser encountered a fatal error.
Probable causes include:

Incorrect Script Files - some of the scripts have invalid python code or other errors
Missing Script Files - some of the scripts referenced in the startup could not be found

Our server has already been upgraded to version 1.5. The above error is indicative of an incorrect client version.

Please use the --update command to update your client and then attempt to reconnect. You can copy this directly to your icon's properties until the client is fully released by MV.

Client:
Use the same update URL as before:
Code:
MultiverseClient.exe --update_url http://update.multiverse.net/mvupdate-1.5/

Also, the server codes will be updated to a third version.
The server may be down over the course of this week.

Umm...I'm not sure exactly what to do to be honest.
I tried copying the code to my EXE's icon but it didn't work, unless I do something else.
Maybe a step by step for us n00bz? ^^

1. Right click on the Multiverse Shortcut and select Properties
2. In the Target Field, it should read as:
Quote
"C:\Program Files\Multiverse Client\MultiverseClient.exe"
3. Copy the following line:
Quote
4. Paste the line after the last quote mark (") with a space afterwards.
5. The field should now read as:
Quote
"C:\Program Files\Multiverse Client\MultiverseClient.exe" --update_url http://update.multiverse.net/mvupdate-1.5/
6. Click on Ok.
7. Run a test.
8. The Client should commence an update, if it doesn't go ahead and post what occurred here.

Hey Hamilton I have a bug to report about the multiverse server. I'm sure somebody has already posted it, but just in case. When you walk your feet don't touch the ground. You're hovering in midair. It's hard to notice just walking around, but if you go close to a wall you'll notice you can see the bottom of the wall under your feet. Speaking of walls, the collision detection on them is messed up. It's not completely absent, just in the wrong place. You're able to clip a couple of feet past the walls.

Yeah, thats a collision volume problem...

We're redoing the social world completely to get rid of that problem.

Apoligize, I Should have made an official announcement on this one sooner. The MV server on which our server was hosted/built upon, is no longer running. I verified this today and am unable to reach it. We are working on migration to a new server.

As some of you may have read, I have been working on a secondary offline server world that none of you have seen yet, with additional content not included in the first version. Due to the fact that we will no longer have access to that server, We want to take this opportunity to swap out and add new content to WIP2 (aka our 2nd WIP which we've been working on), it may take us a little while to complete this migration.

Please bare with us while we transition to a new server and some new content for you. I will announce when we have the new server online and ready for you all to try out.

We are still using the Multiverse Software, but not their server any more. We are in the process of bringing up a new server that is ours for the purpose of the WIP2. More news on that will be forthcoming as it gets completed.

I just finished testing the download of the client (full complete install) and it appears to be working fine. I am using xp sp2 with Firefox version 3.5.6 (the latest). The system I used is a laptop barely capable of running the client but it did complete fully. MV may have had some network connectivity issues when you were attempting to download.

Are you still having problems downloading their client? If so please post on the MV forums for any errors you are getting or what conditions the client is failing to download. Also, keep in mind Vista should probably be run in admin mode for the download.
