I would like to suggest a new focus on the Multiverse server that is up. I would suggest scrapping what is there now and focus on doing a city that meets several goals:

1) Have it be a developer real-time place to meet. When I worked on WorldForge, I found realtime correspondence with everyone on the dev team really worked wonders. We used to use IRC, but then switched over to an internal build of the client to use.

2) Have it showcase art in a logical and organized fashon. The world that is currently up simply does not help promote the game. It paints the game in a bad light. IMHO, there is nothing there.

3) Use it daily. Put a face to the developers and the others interested in the game. Plan to have several people there to answer questions and chat durring prime time daily. Encourage the use of the server even though it's just a showcase.

4) Preplan the layout of the content. Put some forethought into the map design. You can't make sense of the current server map at all. When the player logs in, they should be introduced to the world and it's content though a brief showcase and maybe a walkthough of most of the current website content and background. Don't just throw things in randomly and start the player in a random place.

My suggestion is to have this be a temporary showcase of the future of the game presented in a way that will generate interest and hopefully new developers for your team. You guys really should put a good face on your current world. Initially I was ran off by the state of it, until I took time to visit the website.

Thanks for those suggestions, they are duly noted. I'm not one to spill the beans...*slips but I have been working on updating the WIP that is available for players for the last month or so that will include some new features. Keep tuning in though, as the first place which will be updated is the dev tracker, when it is ready.
