Heck, Spambots easily defeat such checks, so why make it harder for you.

I don't want to limit ourselves and say yes and I don't want to promise something that may not make it in, we just aren't ready to talk hard specifics like that when a few things on crafting are still in the works. It is a robust system and crafters will defintely enjoy it, when we get to that point. I envision an end game for crafters that's complex and sofisticated to the point of being on par with veteran "combat" players. If there are casual crafter's out there, wishing to dabble they may, but they probably won't enjoy the interaction with other crafters and the intricacy of the system as much as a "dedicated" crafter types. Sorry can't go into much more detail than that.

Being an avid crafter myself, and having played SWG from day one (and still am), I can see lots of opportunities for crafting/engineering to become such an integral part of FOA that it would be hard to imagine a Mech MMO without it.

What I don't want to do, is ramble on and on with these ideas, possibly stumbling upon design systems that are still being considered and are not ready for release as yet. That may place the Devs in a difficult position of forcing disclosure before systems have been fully considered.

Would either Hamilton or Agamemnon consider hearing some of these ideas outside of these forums in a personal e-mail? Would that be a more appropriate way of me voicing some of the many ideas I have for the direction this game could travel?

Let me assure you that I am quite realistic about what will be possible to be included in phase 1 and what will not, but that should not stop the creative design process from imagining the phase 1 impossible but phase 2 or 3 probable.

I wrote once before when you were asking in the Battletech Forums for Graphic Artists who were interested in asisting the design effort, however I never sent the NDA back to you guys because much as I love 3D graphics, my real talent has always been in games design/problem solving.

I would in fact like to apply to join the FOA team, but I appreciate, you may not be in need of another Games Designer. If you would be interested in such an approach then please let me know and I will e-mail formally such a request, with some details about me, and some of my ideas. However, don't be afraid to say so, if you are fully staffed in that department.

Ultimately I just want to play an active part in making this game something we can all be proud of. And if you would rather I do that in these forums, then prepare for an avalanche Wink

Incidentally, I just placed a few pics of my Mad Cat mech on my myspace site (link below if It works). Could someone tell me if you can view them ok?

Apologies for hijacking this thread again.

I never know what to say about myself in these things, so I guess I'll just say this:- It is better to remain silent and thought a fool, than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt. hmm..  never stopped me before.

I think we can work something out.  I need to talk things over first though.

For the Pictures of the Madcat, they cannot be seen unless a person has logged into MySpace.
