I started playing MUDS after I transfered to Pearl from Yokosuka back in 95.
Well an introduction -
I didn't come from MMORPG, I did a search for RPG sci-fi mech and a bunch of variants and stumbled upon this
http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=292516 I thought the idea was awesome and read the posts looking for info - found the url and figured why not - I'm glad to see things are progressing well.
I imagined I wasn't the only one looking for a sci-fi MMO, and I was right judging by the awesome responses I'm reading. I play AO right now, as a paying customer so I can use the LE mechs - however I am looking for a more mech - centric experience.
You all keep at it and don't let the dream die, this is a solid concept and I see great planning - which IMO will lead to superior execution and I'm chomping at the bit to get my hands on, in, around, and maybe even drool on it a little.
You have one account here for sure.
I cant agree enough with the decition to keep all IP and rights to your product. Why should you have to qualify your self to have them take over your business - all they have to offer you is a big stick (use your imagination here folks) and a bigger headache. They don't give a rats ass about the game or its fan base (which is growing ) all they care about about is the bottom line, and if it doesn't deliver (insert mega adolescent MMO game here) numbers they will kill it - and your dream .... and ours btw.... or molest it beyond recognition.
I'm so sick of elven based MMOs that I get physically ill thinking of the living hell that is the played out * high Fantasy * genre.
If you can deliver, and I believe you can, you will have my full and undivided attention. hell - if you make they game as per your vision I'd pay double the sub price just to have a quality MECH sci-fi MMO thats actually worth playing.
