Heck, Spambots easily defeat such checks, so why make it harder for you.

Electronic Warfare will be in use.
Lighter units won't have special devices (any unit can have any type of system); but they would have an easier time of masking themselves.

There is also the "Loudner System."  This system allows Mechs to produce ground vibrations and noise much louder, to emulate being a heavier Mech.  While this doesn't help out the light Mech (for the most part), the use of the device may distract the enemy into thinking that the Light Mech is a Heavy Mech.

How will mech detection graphically?  Will radar screens by a composite of multiple scan types that are processed together to give the best representation or will radar be limited to one detection mode at a time?

It will be based on the technology level of the computer and the modules used.

Hi, guys,
been a while since I posted.

Always thought that while technology would advance enough to allow excellent computer lock on of weapons that that same technological advance comes hand in hand with specific advances in counter measures technologies.

So while I agree that computers and their processing power would be awesome enough to allow very much improved lock on compared with modern military equipment today, that would be equally offset by improved ECM systems.

The net result in my opinion would be very little difference to the effectiveness we see today of modern systems operating against equally modern ECM systems.

You must not forget that technology in practice never stands still. It has it's own war of invention followed by countermeasure, followed by counter-countermeasure followed by...

You get my point  Wink

I never know what to say about myself in these things, so I guess I'll just say this:- It is better to remain silent and thought a fool, than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt. hmm..  never stopped me before.
