So this is more of a Stealthy/Recon 'Mech.  Again, thoughts welcome!

By foazekcom at 2010-10-20

1) Do you like the style and/or overall feel of the 'Mech? If not, what about it doesn't appeal to you?
2) What do you think this 'Mech's role is? (i.e. recon, support, combat, utility, etc)
3) Is there anything you feel this model is lacking?
3)  On a scale of 0-5 (0 = bad, 5= awesome), what is the likelihood of you wanting to see this 'Mech in your personal hangar?

1) As a whole the design is pleasant to me. The accessory to ZekCom is felt. Few things in this model seem me strange. 1. Turbines. This mech can't fly. If turbojets work at walking mech will stumble. In my opinion they need to be removed or rotated on 90 degrees and to make jump busters. 2. Tubes on shins. I long thought over their objectives, but haven't understood. 3. I think shins are too thick. This mech will weigh no more than 20-25 tons. What for such massive shins?
2) it is unequivocal recon, LRM-25
3) All on a place
4) 4

1) I like the attachment on top, gives more tech feel to the design of the mech.  The Forward down slope of the missiles and the turbines feel a tad off for the design.
2) The role looks like recon/light scout.
3) only thing i think for a ZekCom mech feel i think as being a recon, maybe an added survailence attachment OR radar dish for relaying information.
3)  Scaling I would say 4.  As for my personal hanger... I primarily run heavy/assault brawlers or long range artillery/missile support.

This audit is pleasant to me more than last. The air inlet does model more aggressive. However now in my opinion shins are put too widely. Mech will swinging from one side to the other.  Objectives of turbines still isn't clear.

Turbine is for catching and blending bullets.

Intake cone is for regulating flow of bullets at supersonic speeds to prevent clogging.

Of course!  How did I miss that??

Or it could be those are the housings for the advanced sensors & communication intercept software....  Being exposed to the air, they have more sensitivity, but they are semi-fragile, so they need to protected....

/insert developer evil double-think.

Catching and blending bullets with turbines? I apologize but  it is delirium.

lightly armored lightly armed
veary dangerous in the right hands.
jets still need some justifying (maby put harrier jet, down thrust nozzles for lift and limited flight.)
maby call them improved jump jets.

1: i like it.  But the weapons points downwards. Angle them horizontaly.
2: LRM
3: The guns and missiles could do the job of taking out missiles but without a turret it won't look natural.  Incoming missiles have to be one of the most dangerous things for a lightly armored recon mech.
4: 3.5 even if i played Zekcom.

Pheonix Commando

1) Very similar to the other one... Pretty much same feel. Effective.
2) Same as the other one, Pure recon, probibly a bit heavier it looks though, might be able to take a slight amount of punishment before being wiped out.
3) Methinks the turret in the top needs to be re-installed, it provides a pretty good AMS.
4)  3.5
