| AC | Auto Cannons: Weapon systems which fire projectiles by the use of explosive chemicals. ACs although greatly outdated do enjoy the highest rate of fire and low costs. |
| APE | Slang for an Auxiliary Power Unit, or APU. |
| Armor | 1. The primary defense system in the form of hardened alloys and ceramics. 2. Military term for Armored Fighting Vehicles (AFV), primarily Main Battle Tanks (MBT). |
| AWOL | Absence without leave, not reporting to duty. |
| Balls to the Walls | The original meaning has been lost to history, but the term implies, fastest speed possible; Emergency Speed Setting. |
| Battle Armor | Battle armor is the typical form of powered armor that is encountered. Battle armor normally increases the height of its wearer by a third of a meter. The armor is much superior to battle suits and body armor, enough to give a decent survivability for troops on the mechanized battlefield. Battle armor normally have one or two internal weapons. |
| Battle Suit | A Battle Suit is the lightest form of Powered Armor. It has light armor normally comparible to Rigid Body Armor, but is powered thus allowing the wearer to be free of the weight from armor. Battle Suits have no internal weapon systems. |
| BFM | Black Freaking Magic, to describe why a faulty electronic device unexplainably starts working again. |
| BINGO | The minimum amount of fuel to allow for a safe return to the intended base of operations. |
| Bioborg | Essentially machines that are controlled by a sentient brain, but with bodies made of organic mechanical parts. Corporations usually field these units as Heavy or Assault Infantry. |
| Biosculpting | The art of engineering anatomy to perform above its norms through genetic engineering and manipulation. The result is often obvious abnormalities in physical appearance. |
| Body Armor | The lightest form of armor for personnel to wear. There are two types of body armor, Rigid and Flexible, each with a class of Light, Medium and Heavy. Rigid body armor are nonflexible plates of armor, similar to steel plate armor of medieval knights. Flexible body armor is more of a heavy cloth material that can bend. |
| CADS | Computer Automated Defense System: CADS are computer modules that respond automatically to missile attacks. CADS may be used with both missile and gunnery systems. |
| CANEX | Canceled Exercise. Used to refer to any event which has been canceled, not just formal exercises. |
| CASREP | Casualty Report: A report of personnel or equipment that is need of medical attention or repair. |
| CATFU | Completely And Totally Fracked/Fouled Up |
| Chit | Slang word for credits (money), derived from the terms of credits and organic sentient waste. Ever-since the new economic system was imposed, the word chits have become popular. |
| Combat Armor | Combat Armor are sometimes referred to as Mini-Mechs. They are the largest form of powered armor. Combat Armor is designed for Anti-Mech operations and for close support with infantry. The size and weight of Combat Armor is normally too great to be used inside of buildings. |
| Corp | A common abbreviation for Corporation. |
| Corporates | A common abbreviation for those who are loyal to and gainfully employed by  their Corporation. |
