Forty years we’ve wasted. Fighting with each other, dying with each other. They tell us that it’s all for Genesis, if we just hold out for the cure to the Affliction, it’ll all be over...

Genoma Personal Armor

Genoma Body Armor

The Genoma Corporation takes great pride in its fighting force, and this shows in their personal armor. Billions of chits have been spent improving upon standard body armors to break away from traditional reliance upon metals for shielding. Genoma body armor possesses several advanced features. Primarily constructed out of unique organic materials, Genoma armor tends to be very adaptive to any environment and is extremely resilient. Many suits of armor directly interface with the soldier in an almost symbiotic relationship. Advancements in neural networks and genetic interfacing have made Genoman armor extremely responsive while still offering an abundance of protection. Specialized suits of Genoman armor also allow for soldiers to independently modify them to adapt to whatever the battlefield situation may have to offer, or to any genetic body modifications a soldier may have.

Due to the processes and materials involved in the armor's construction, Genoma soldiers are unmistakable on the battlefield. They have been known to be derogatively called "ghouls" or "bugs" by opposing forces due to their nightmarish appearances. There are even rumors of Genoma squads harvesting remnants of their fallen opponents on the battlefield for diabolical experiments and research. The sight of Genoma soldiers supporting mechanized units on the field of battle tends to strike terror into even the most stalwart opponent, although it has also been known to cause a deep desire for revenge, once the revulsion passes.

Genoma armors typically have a green cyst on them which is known to alter the armor's capabilities. One of the secrets most coveted by the opponents of Genoma is the underlying technology behind the cyst. Genoma soldiers are typically very cunning and the diversity of their armors often leave their opponents uncertain of what their enemy will do next or what they are even capable of doing.

It is very possible that Genoma have the most advanced personal body armors for their troops, but this is a topic hotly debated by rival Corporations. One thing is certain, when it comes to reliable, adaptable and comfortable armors, The Genoma Corporation is certainly a leader among the pack. Soldiers have come to view their body armor as an extension of their identity when on the battlefield. A soldier's body armor often is the barrier between life and death, and every Genoman soldier is certainly aware of this fact.

Some intelligence officials have been quoted as saying that Genoma likely obtained several technologies from nefarious dealings with alien intelligences. Genoma scientists and officials dispute this claim. While there are alien technologies that appear similar to those found in Genoma body armor, it cannot be accurately stated that there is anything identical.

Genoma civilians are even known to wear various armors as they go about their daily lives in contested areas. Clergy of the Genoma Corporation that espouse their unique religion (Genetica) of evolution and mankind's duty to shape the process have been known to wear elaborate armors to protect them from those who seek to silence them (typically Senkan assassins). This armor is often created in a way to showcase the fleshly virtues that evolution is capable of obtaining.
